Lived-Experience Storytelling

I’ve been trained in trauma-informed lived-experience storytelling practices and have interviewed people with a range of complex histories and needs. I know how to create safe environments for storytellers to share their experiences, so that the content has even more impact.

Media Training

I worked with people who’ve experienced homelessness to advocate for progress in Melbourne. Whether for a feature article, live interview, or speaking at an event, I ensured clients were prepared, comfortable, and confident going into these unfamiliar spaces.

Fundraising Campaigns & Philantrophy

I led storytelling for Launch Housing’s twice-annual fundraising campaigns, collaborating with a team to raise thousands of dollars for the organisation.

I worked closely with the philanthropy team to produce donor impact publications. In 2023, I completed June Steward’s donor-centred communications training - and learnt the formula for effective fundraising messaging.

Writing for External Publications

I wrote several feature-length articles for industry publications like Parity Magazine. You can read more of this one here.

Presenting & Video Production

With a reporting background, I wasn’t a stranger to a microphone, and so we could add a bit more depth to organisational videos. I worked with colleagues to create stories about our staff, to showcase the programs, facilities, and policies that make positive change.
