Telling stories that stick.
Kia ora, I’m Kirsty.
I'm a multimedia content specialist with a background in journalism and campaign experience in Melbourne's not-for-profit sector.
I've been telling stories across Aotearoa and Australia since 2019 — in print, online, with audio and on video. I’ve led storytelling for fundraising campaigns that have raised thousands for Victoria’s homelessness sector. Before that, I cut my teeth in the newsroom.
Experienced with a microphone, comfortable on either side of a camera, I'm great with my words and will do just about anything for a good story.
Let me show you some.
Social Impact Storytelling
I translate complex data and complicated societal systems into clear and captivating content. Social impact stories showcase the humans behind the statistics and the organisations making a difference.
Interviewing people who have experienced harm and trauma should never be taken lightly. I’ve been trained in ethical storytelling practises and support the subject every step of the way — to ensure their story is in safe hands.
Stories to make sense of the data.
Audio Production & Podcast
I’ve been on both sides of the booth.
Working for New Zealand’s national broadcaster taught me the world of talk. From scripting, producing, to live crosses in the field, I got exposure to every angle of audio. I learnt from some of the country’s best journalists, editors, and producers, and got hands-on experience in the studio.
Now with a bit of podcast producing under my belt, I’m hooked. I can make your audio sharp and storyboard your series.
Publications & Copywriting
Once a student magazine editor and lifestyle magazine intern, I’ve been working with the physical form for more than 5 years. Whether to inform and engage a community, share impacts with donors, or give annual reports more life, I can get the content from plan to print.
